Any MCP client

langweave is a remote MCP server. Any client that can add one by URL can use it; there is nothing to install and no key to paste. Some clients also have a page of their own with exact steps.

Before you start, create an account and choose a language — the server works without one, but every tool will only tell you to go and do that.

  • Transport: streamable HTTP at

    https://api.langweave.tech/mcp

There is no stdio server on the hosted path; running one on your own machine is Local and offline.

  • Sign-in: OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration, against lexmem — the service that keeps your account and your memory for langweave. Your client registers itself there, so there is no client ID or secret to enter; you sign in once with the account you created through the learner app and approve. The sign-in and consent pages are lexmem’s, at api.lexmem.tech, and say so. The server’s protected-resource metadata names https://api.langweave.tech/mcp as the resource and lexmem as the authorization server; there is no other hostname for the connector.

  • Five tools and one prompt — see Tools.

So your client needs to support remote (HTTP) MCP servers and OAuth sign-in. One that only takes a local command, or only a fixed API key or header, cannot connect to the hosted server.

  1. Find your client’s setting for adding an MCP server or a custom connector. claude.ai, ChatGPT (in developer mode) and Le Chat take the URL in their connector settings.
  2. Paste https://api.langweave.tech/mcp as the server URL. Name it langweave if the client asks for a name. Leave any OAuth client fields empty.
  3. Sign in when the client opens lexmem’s sign-in page, and allow langweave access.

Ask for something ordinary in a new conversation. Your assistant should call get_language_profile before it answers, weave a word or two of your language into the reply, and call log_exposures after it. Many clients ask your permission the first time each tool is used; allowing log_exposures is what makes your vocabulary grow.

If a tool answers that you have not chosen a language, the client signed in as a different account from the one you enrolled. Disconnect it and connect again.

The token your client holds lets the five tools read your profile and record the words that were used — nothing else. See what the tools can change and what is stored.
