Your memory
langweave does not keep what you know. That is kept by lexmem — a separate service at
api.lexmem.tech, run alongside langweave — and langweave reads and writes it with your
permission. lexmem is where your account lives too: when you sign up or connect your assistant,
the sign-in and consent pages you see are lexmem’s, and they say so.
What lexmem stores
Section titled “What lexmem stores”- Your account — your email address, your name, your password (hashed), your sign-in sessions, and the apps you connected and the access you gave each.
- Your memory, per language — the languages you enrolled in; every word and grammar point recorded for you, with its state (new, introduced, learning, known — see word states) and the counters that move it; any words you asked to be remembered that are not in the word list; and your four counting thresholds.
- The history that produced those states — one entry per event: which word, what happened to it, when, and which app recorded it.
It never stores the text of your conversations. What reaches it from an assistant is a word and what happened to it, and only on Standard.
The word lists themselves — the dictionaries and frequency lists each language is built from — are lexmem’s too, so every app that reads your memory agrees on what a word is.
lexmem keeps your memory on either plan; the plan decides what langweave does with it. What langweave keeps on its own side — your active language, the weave settings and the state of a subscription — is on Data and privacy.
Other apps
Section titled “Other apps”The memory is not langweave’s alone. Another app can ask to connect to your lexmem account, the same way your assistant did: you sign in at lexmem, see the app’s name and what it asks for, and allow or deny it. An app you allow reads and adds to the same memory, so a word you learned through langweave counts there as well, and the reverse.
The learner app’s Account page lists every connected app, and Revoke takes one’s access away; the learner app itself is marked This app, and you leave it by signing out.
Export and delete
Section titled “Export and delete”Both are on the Account page:
- Download my data — everything lexmem holds for your account, every language, word and event, as one JSON file.
- Delete my account — deletes your lexmem account and everything it remembers, for every app connected to it. It cannot be undone. A Standard subscription is Stripe’s and is not cancelled by this: cancel it on Billing first.
lexmem’s own privacy policy is the full statement of what it keeps and why.
