Claude Code
Claude Code talks to the same hosted server as claude.ai, over streamable HTTP, and signs in with OAuth the first time. If you would rather install the server together with the skill that tells the model how to use it, use the plugin instead — it does both.
-
Add the server:
Terminal window claude mcp add --transport http langweave https://api.langweave.tech/mcpThat adds it for you in the current project. Add
--scope userbeforelangweaveto have it in every project. -
Start Claude Code, run
/mcp, choose langweave and Authenticate. Your browser opens lexmem’s sign-in page — lexmem keeps your langweave account; sign in and allow access.
-
Put this in
.mcp.jsonat the root of a project to share the server with everyone who works in it:{"mcpServers": {"langweave": {"type": "http","url": "https://api.langweave.tech/mcp"}}}"type": "http"is required; without it Claude Code expects a local command. -
Start Claude Code in the project and approve the project’s server when asked. Then run
/mcp, choose langweave and Authenticate.
Check that it works
Section titled “Check that it works”/mcp lists langweave as connected with five tools. Ask for something ordinary: it should call
get_language_profile first and log_exposures after a reply that wove something. If the tools
say you have not chosen a language, choose one in the app first.
The server also offers a /language-mode prompt — in Claude Code, /mcp__langweave__language-mode
— which turns weaving on explicitly for the rest of a conversation, with your profile attached.
